Mr. Sami Slim, Executive Partner and Technical Director at IDS, active member of the advisory board of the Computer Science department at BAU since 2012, and member of the advisory board for the Faculty of Sciences since 2016, signed with BAU on March 2016 a joint training protocol consisting of advanced hands-on training on software development for computer science students at BAU.
The program aims to empower students and provide them with the opportunity to participate in real-life software development projects, building on their capacities, improving their technical and analytical skills, and eventually giving them better chances for finding software development jobs after graduation. IDS will cater to this initiative with projects related to the public and private sectors, involving new technologies and long term ideas and plans. Training will be conducted at the BAU computer facilities in Debbieh.
The main role of IDS in this program is to provide the software development experts who shall be responsible for generating valuable real-life project ideas and for mentoring motivated students that will be jointly selected by IDS and BAU.
